In a significant development that promises to foster international educational and cultural exchange, the Polo Research Organisation has proudly unveiled its International Student Ambassador Programme. The prestigious launch event took place under the patronage of the Hon'ble Consul General of South Korea H.E Mr. Chang Nyun Kim , signifying the strong collaboration between the two nations in the field of education and cultural enrichment.
This groundbreaking initiative has selected a cohort of outstanding students from India, who will serve as esteemed student ambassadors for their country during an upcoming visit to South Korea. The selected students, who hail from some of the nation's top educational institutions, were chosen after a rigorous selection process that assessed not only their academic prowess but also their passion for cross-cultural understanding and learning.
Under the guidance of the renowned educational psychologist Dr. Saranya Jaikumar, the student ambassadors are set to embark on an enriching journey to South Korea . The Korean Tourism Organisation has meticulously planned the itinerary, promising an engaging and immersive experience for the student ambassadors.
During their stay in South Korea, the students will partake in a diverse range of activities designed to provide them with insights into various aspects of Korean society. From education to entertainment, industries to tourism, the ambassadors will have the opportunity to delve into the multifaceted cultural and academic landscape of South Korea.
The partnership between the Polo Research Organisation and Korea Tourism Organisation is envisioned to create lasting bonds between the two nations, fostering mutual understanding and cooperation. Indian Student Ambassadors – South Korea Visit Report (Oct 2023)

Day 1: Travel to Seoul
Departed from Chennai via Delhi on Air India flights.
Group of 26 student ambassadors, 3 mentors, 3 supervisors, and 2 travel partners.
Warm welcome and seamless travel arrangements by Madura Travel and Korea Tourism Organisation.
Day 2: Arrival & Sightseeing
Reached Incheon International Airport, had lunch at an Indian restaurant.
Visited Starfield Library (Coex Mall) and Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP).
Evening: Shopping & sightseeing at Myeongdong Street.
Day 3: Student Exchange Programme
Visit to a Korean High School, interaction with local students.
Learned a Korean song, participated in a quiz contest, and explored the school.
Afternoon: Rice Cake Decorating Workshop.
Evening: Visited N Seoul Tower for a panoramic city view.
Day 4: Nuclear Power Plant Visit & Beach
Traveled to Busan, visited Kori Nuclear Power Plant.
Evening at Haeundae Beach and International Buffet Dinner.
Day 5: Cultural & Historical Visits
Explored Gamcheon Cultural Village (murals, art installations, and a competition).
Shopping at Gukje Traditional Market.
Visit to Queen Heo’s Tomb, research on Princess Sembavalam.
Day 6: Hanbok Experience & Gala Dinner
Wore Hanboks at Gyeongbokgung Palace, attended Royal Guard Changing Ceremony.
Explored HIKR-GROUND, a K-pop & media arts center.
Gala Dinner with cultural performances, speeches, fireworks, and Korean Tamil Sangam interactions.
Day 7: Return to Chennai
Departed from Seoul via Delhi, arrived in Chennai at midnight.
Emotional farewell to Korean hosts, reflecting on cultural exchange and learning experiences.
